Chicken recipes can get boring quickly if you keep doing the same recipes over and over again.
This is a fun way to make your boring chicken recipes a little different.
It is still quick and easy and doesn’t take as much time in the kitchen as you may think!

Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Recipe
Begin by carefully slicing chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thinner, even cutlets – this ensures thorough cooking and better texture.
Generously season both sides with your chosen marinade or dry rub, as the salt will help draw out moisture that gets reabsorbed for exceptionally juicy results.
Transfer the seasoned chicken to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least two hours, though overnight is ideal; this dry-brining process dramatically improves both flavor penetration and moisture retention.
When ready to cook, remove the chicken from the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to take the chill off – this small step prevents uneven cooking.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your barbecue grill for medium-high heat cooking, as the high temperature is crucial for achieving proper browning while keeping the interior tender.

Take each chicken piece and wrap it snugly with bacon strips, overlapping slightly to fully encase the meat.
If needed, secure the bacon with toothpicks (soaked in water first to prevent burning) to maintain its position during cooking.
Season the exterior with an additional dusting of pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to complement the bacon’s smoky richness.
For oven cooking, arrange the wrapped chicken on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to promote air circulation and even crisping.
If you are cooking this on the grill, you should start the chicken over indirect heat to render the bacon fat gently, then finish over direct heat for perfect crispness.
Cook until the bacon turns golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 20-25 minutes total, turning occasionally for even browning.
Always verify doneness with an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part – it should register 165°F (74°C), as the bacon may appear done before the chicken is fully cooked.
Allow the chicken to rest for five minutes before serving; this critical step lets the juices redistribute throughout the meat.
Remove any toothpicks and serve!
